Default Its been tough but coyote is down

[COLOR=#141414]It has been a rough month or so with no snow came no coyote sightings for me. We got a couple of inches of snow yesterday (first time in a month or so) and with an opportunity to go out for a quick stand I packed my gear up and off I went. Got to the farm and setup as the sun went down. A few minutes into dying rabbit, 2 coyotes come out of the bush. 1 heads my way, the other stays back. Had the male stop about 75 yds from me so I took the shot. 2nd coyote put on the after burners and spilt without a chance for a shot.
Its been an unusual warm winter with little to no snow for most of it. Its been more like fishing weather then coyote weather but no more skunk

    great job
I've had the exact opposite year for numbers. early on I acquired permission on 3 new properties and have been very busy taking multiple coyotes off each property and a couple off the properties I've hunted for years. I'm sitting at a solid 21 coyotes since Jan 1st

I'm with FRATRI no snow. was out this morning was going to try 3 spots. 1st one sat there for 45 minutes nothing, headed to 2nd spot, but stopped at farmers ended up having coffee and a long talk, so never made it any further. I have the grand total of 1so far.

    It's been really good
now saying that 18 of the coyotes have been very young (possibly last years pups) and they seem pretty dumb. the one stand with my wife we called in 4 and the last one stuck around until his 3 buddies weren't doing so well before he got the invitation to join them. I've only taken 3 mature coyotes all winter out of the 21
