Trainer/beeper collar recommendation?

Looking for a combined trainer/beeper. Current models under consideration are Dogtra 2700 and DT Systems RAPT1450. Would appreciate experiences & suggestions. Thanks!

I am opening a can of worms, in my experience building drive is better than using any type of forced training. By this I am referring to E-collars giving electic zaps, I would not include beepers/clickers as forced training

Building drive starts with determing the reward system for your dog (really it starts at puppy testing and selection but I assume you are past that point), it will either be a food reward or toy reward, this is up to the dog to choose. Use that reward ONLY for training, crate train, and add lots of praise on successful training sessions and you will build drive.

drive is one thing curtailing drive is another. Hard to "reward" your dog at 100 yards for respecting recall. Reminding the dog of correct behaviour in the heat of the moment is always good to have in your back pocket.

Dogtra for over 20yrs, bird launchers and collars, using the 2702 T&B for 5yrs, no problems
