Deer Camp is coming!!

Last few weekends we have been at our hunt camp in wmu 47. We have quite a few does hanging around. And 3 bucks. One is a wide 10pt. Really looking forward for the rifle hunt. The deer numbers are really looking good these days . Also a few moose in the area. What’s things looking like in the rest of the woods at your camps??

We have a lot more pictures than last year,
I set up a new stand on a spot I found while wandering and can't wait to hunt it. It's in a nice little saddle where all the animals seem to cross a ridge from bedding. Planning to sit with the bow on the weekend before rifle opens Monday.

Pictures of a bull moose, a couple younger looking bucks and does with fawns. Also a nice looking bear.

We are hunting the first week with a party of 2 in wmu53.

Set up stands on the new property the other day. Owner has been baiting his stand for weeks now and has deer almost everyday. My dad and i setup a couple stands the other day and already have a couple does on cam, gonna be a good year hopefully!

were down 1 guy this year, trail cams have deer on them, smaller bucks for now, lots of does here like usual too.

havent gotten up there as much as ive wanted to this year. between work and just being tired just havent done much this year.

if i dont see anything i wont be surprised. havent put that much work in. 81A

On our moose hunt in 49 we saw more sign than years past. Our group are heading up the first week of the season.

Lots of deer on cam this year, double the amount of bigger bucks including two really tall and wide 10 pointers. Seems to be quite a few moose around also. And yes, way too many bears. WMU 57.

Lots of track down here in 90B and seen a big Doe in my backyard the other day. Farmers are taking the beans off the fields and some farms are doing the corn fields as well. Unfortunately not the corn fields where I hunt.

Good luck to everyone heading out this fall. Our group will be hunting November 4th to the 11th. I predict that we will tag 2 deer this year, nothing big.
