    Default Garmin Stryker 4 issues

Trying to use a Garmin Striker 4 for ice fishing with no luck. Wondering if the transducer is toast, even though it's essentially a brand new unit. Screen only gives me horizontal lines of clutter. No adjustment of any of the settings will make a difference. Any advice? Does anyone with one of these units have a pic of their unit's screen when they are on the ice?

try and put your transducer a bit deeper down the hole and see if that clears up the picture at all
if not it could be a bad transducer

How close are you fishing from another flasher/sonar unit?

Have you tried changing the beam frequency to 77khz or 200khz without Chirp to see if that changes anything? I'm not sure which transducer you're using but my ice transducer for the Striker 4 doesn't do Chirp so maybe that's the issue?

Yes i tried all the possible transducer settings and no change. No chance of electrical interference as it’s the only device present.

you might not be getting clean power
if the battery is weak or a poor connection this might be the issue but my guess is the crystal in the transducer is slightly damaged. ice fishing gear doesn't get the nicest treatment in transportation to and from our fishing spots and sometimes the transducer gets damaged
