I’m not sure how effective this will be but regardless, it sure is a step in the right direction
imagine if our pretend Conservative premier stood up for us like Danielle does for Albertans ??
it's almost shocking to see some sensibility in government,

The same should be done in Ontario

in actual fact the federal government needs to be abolished and have 12 provincial governments work together to establish a Canadian union
currently we have 380 paid representatives that accomplish absolutely nothing positive on a daily basis.

Good on them here we trying to ban the airsoft and paintball guns. Like that's going to make the streets safer.
Don't count on Ford to stop it he's on board with the Trudeau regime.

Well I would not be getting to excited about this video, for a start just within the video they fudge the figures, initially they have a MASSIVE firearms community consisting of 300,000
members and before the end of the video they suddenly have 340,000 members? Same for the number of gun stores initially its 650 gun stores and later its 680 gun stores.
So lets give them the benefit of the doubt and say there is 340,000 gun owners the total population of Alberta is 4.34 million.
Also as we all know Firearm's Legislation is a Federal Government mandate and this has been backed by the Supreme Court. Any legislation they bring in can be challenged on this basis alone, that is why they are treading lightly right now.
The NDP are pretty close in contention for the upcoming provincial election and Premier Smith might well be gone. IMHO

I would not say Conservative Premier Doug Ford is on board with the Trudeau regime he is more on board with the constitution and rule of law.
He has an army of lawyers and they have probably advised him of the law and its pretty easy to read in this respect a simple page, so Alberta has already had a kick at this can and the result is posted below by the highest Court in the land. So sure they can fill their boots with any popular Alberta law and that law can just as easily be shot down.

Gilly, I won’t disagree with you in the respect that the result may be fruitless with respect to the criminal code being a federal jurisdiction. BUT it sure is nice to see government doing whatever they can to get in Trudeau’s way.

I am the stage now that a ONE SIZE does not fit all. I am a lot more open to Provinces and Territories bringing in laws that are better for their citizens.
Even for Ontario I have said in the past that the needs of rural Ontarians in respect to firearms are very different from Urban Ontarians.
Different discussions need to take place and I think the Alberta move will be healthy for the whole country.
