This is your third post Michael. Pretty early to be complaining. 476 users on line right now at 2 in the afternoon ; hardly dead nor "sick".

The first is its appearance. The look of the board itself is very clinical - sterile if you will. Blue and white and blocky, like I am standing in a hospital corridor. It is certainly not outdoorsy or appealing to the eye.
There are too many forums. Some need to be eliminated or combined with others as stickys. Covid and a few others in that area should be put in a general area as sticky posts. It would increase traffic to the Off Topic area for example.
Theoretically, Ontario should have a vibrant board, but having so many sections only serves to confuse.
The admins need to go section by section, count to threads, and combine, rearrange or completely eliminate the deadwood.
Traffic flows have to be redirected.
Because sometimes, having too many places to go isn’t worth the bother of exploring.
Wow, 3 whole posts in....
Volunteering to be a mod?
Trust me, if you think the adjective is "sick" it was worse.....it was toxic...
I'd say the body in in recovery now that some cancers have been cut out.

Are you a member or administrator on other forums? If so,which one(s)?

The subject line is about the forum being dead. I responded to it. The number of posts I have has nothing to do with my observations.
Good luck to the ones who live in hope that it will get better.

The problem I see is that the ones who complain the forum is dead, sick or what ever are the ones who contribute little to no content and only take from it. For example you started a thread asking for info, great. Several members contributed to the conversation however when asked about your set up nothing but crickets. This forum is what you make it add nothing get nothing.

I have no desire to get into a fight on an Internet forum. I will say this however. As much as it bothers some people, suggestions should be welcomed, not met with hostility.
I don’t know if the admins can fix the flow problems, but it should help things.

No hostility meant just responding to your observations. If you're saying you don't participate because the forum isn't pretty enough for you not much can be done about that. What has been pointed out is you haven't participated in your own thread so what's up with that?

This post kinda reminds me of all the new neighbours that have invaded our little local community this last 3 yrs. Quite an influx of them buying up everything that wasn't nailed down. They were quite happy to move to the north, but now many of them are moaning about the differences of this northern lifestyle, to that of the quagmire they left behind. If they don`t like it here, maybe it`s time to move on.

Double like.
