OK now I wish we had a like button as it seems to be the signature line for some here.

Mask being ineffective is partly true. Cloth, and regular medical mask do not have the ability to properly stop Covid germs. COVID germs are small enough that they can easily slip through these simple masks, it’s like trying to stop sand flys with a regular screen. M-95s are a little better but still don’t filter out the majority of Covid molecules. The only mask that can fully filter out Covid molecules are military grade gas mask, with filters made to protect from biological threats.

I believe the masks were great for stopping people from spitting covid filled gobs of saliva into your face or on your body. I felt safer seeing these masks on people.

If it’s makes you feel safer that’s great, but we’re talking facts here. The facts are Covid molecules are very small and a normal mask doesn’t stop them. Truth doesn’t become truth because we believe it.

My point was that if you are wearing a mask, you can't spit on me. That's all.

Lol, than maybe a face shield would be more effective. Unfortunately though Covid is airborne and even though getting spit on by a carrier may give it to you, it just as easily spreads through you breathing it in. If we’re talking about the original op, we’re talking about the ability masks and other protocols have on stoping the spread of Covid. I would have to to agree yes we were lied to, masks were not effective at stopping the spread of Covid. We were not told by the government that we should wear mask to stop people from spitting on us.

For me,the best part of wearing a mask was that I only had to shave every third day.
