Wonder what the number was when Harper left?

I want to help and provide charity/resources for those who need it, but there must be a balance.

Ruining the future for my children and everyone else within the borders does not justify a knee jerk, feel good, nothing solved nothing gained, solution that is being tossed out now with 100 dollar bills attached for a photo op.

He cannot be a prudent financial Conservative when he is telling folks to buy into Bitcoin.

What would happen if he became PM and the honeymoon with the West ends, we know how it goes when Conservatives turn against each other.

I wonder if he would right away give an enormous tax break to the rich like and end up in the fiasco we saw in GB, three PM,s in as many months and a collapsing stock market and pound.
How true Gilroy. what you get is what you get but that isn't what i was talking about. I was thinking of a whole new party stocked with honest, un-biased people that would truly want to serve for the sake of public good in an honourable and graceful manner.

    Yes, I know... wishful dreaming.

Well that sure would be nice, the closest I have seen for honesty would be Preston Manning, Tom Mulcair on the other spectrum.

Even Jack Layton looks good these days in the honesty department.

Well that is true they have bigger populations than Canada, however none of them have the vast resources we have and potential for the future. I do not find the national debt profound, a fella could not even buy half a pick up truck for that amount per capita.

When Mr Harper came into power in Feb6,2006 he inherited a SURPLUS of 13 Billion that he managed over seven consecutive years to run up a national debt of 150 Billion dollars more. The National debt when he became PRIME MINISTER WAS $467 BILLION and he managed to up it to $628 Billion.https://cortescurrents.ca/canadas-national-debt/

I do not believe CBC will be defunded, they are a Canadian Institution and very much liked across Canada, Harper mused about this a few times but being a smart politician decided he had better not.

Can't happen soon enough in my books. If they just reported news and kept the bias out of it, I'd be all for it. But they lost the ability to report the news in an unbiased fashion decades ago and their journalists have lost all credibility in my opinion.

As long as your liberal orientiated, you probably agree and think they are doing a good job. Personally I'd prefer to get the news reported and let me decide how I feel about it.
