Validating you vehicle permit.
Just as heads up for any folks that might be forgetting to update your vehicles permit every one or two years.
So no sticker needed for the plate but you still have to validate your permit.
No currently validated permit 7 (1) (a) $85.00 OUT OF COURT SETTLEMENT.
However if an officer decides to issued a summons to court the fine goes from $60.00 to $1,000.00

It's also important to print and carry the validation sheet when renewing on-line in case the data base is slow on the uptake.

Yup exactly what I did, lots of possibilities of errors to happen with data bases.
On that note I have been pleasantly surprised by how good the Ontario Government websites work, no problems doing this or signing up for reminders or ordering game tags to date, who ever programmed this stuff was good.

I keep forgetting for my truck, it was due Oct 2022, luckily I'm not driving it right now as it's parked for the winter.

PHEW ! Checked mine and I'm good until May. So we have to sign up to be notified ? Nothing in the Snail Mail anymore ? Many, many years ago I found out the hard way about speeding tickets, seems they don't mail you any court notice of conviction and surcharges to pay instead it goes straight to suspending your drivers licence at which point they mail you a notice and needless to say it doesn't arrive until a week or so from the date your licence was cancelled hence making you guilty of driving under suspension... wtf ? The speeding ticket is your final notice ! Pay up or make a court date !
Good Luck & Good Hunting !

This was one of the reasons I posted, from my understanding the OPP have the plate reading devices if a permit is expired its a reason to pull you over and things go downhill. Your insurance needs to be up to date for you to re do the plate and that's not getting done until the outstanding fines and 407 charges are cleaned up.
I think they should have sent out a letter that indicated there would be no more notifications about permits expiring.
