    My email to Doug Ford

If you are a legal gun owner and wish to keep your guns I highly suggest you send him a message as well.

    Dear Premier Doug Ford

The May 1, 2020 gun ban by Order in Council did nothing to make Ontario safer
Confiscating firearms from licensed owners has no rational connection to any public safety goals
There is no evidence or public safety principle to support these actions
Their proposed confiscations are a disturbing use of billions of tax dollars for zero gain in public safety
Ottawa had no plan when they announced their virtue-signalling gun ban and they have no plan today to confiscate the private property of Ontarians.
Do not permit Justin Trudeau’s federal government to offload their misguided policies onto the backs of Ontarians
Do not permit Ottawa to force Ontarians to pay for its failures
Join Tyler Shandro, Alberta Minister of Justice, and Christine Tell, Saskatchewan Minister of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety and oppose Ottawa’s overreach and, in so doing, support and defend all Ontario firearm owners.

Could you imagine being a legal firearms owner and supporting a leftwing socialist regime. almost like complaining your feet are cold but refusing to wear boots
I applaud the Alberta government for taking a stance and dedicating their law enforcement staff to real crimes rather than liberal fallacies

My underststanding is that Alberta,Saskatchewan and Manitoba haven't refused to enforce the law, they're simply refusing to provide manpower and to pay for it.

I don’t consider myself affiliated with any particular party as they all lie and will eventually let you down. IMO you have the Federal Liberals trying to appeal to the left with stricter gun laws while the Alberta Conservatives are appealing to their base by standing up to the Federal government. It’s all about maintaining power and securing votes.

    Definitely 100 % Sam.

At the other hand-public opinion(to a degree)is taken in consideration at making decisions-"directing" Governments steps-thus public actually manages to have "say" in the politics.
    To a degree.

Left being very vocal, leaning heavily on media, mastered "public manipulation"........No surprise, they "massage"the public more and heavier ,to have their ways.
This is how come-many times, marginal issues (like this step in "gun control") are becoming "vital" and a "cornerstone" in our lives.

This firearms plan by the feds reminds me of the national daycare system they are putting in place. The feds take the credit for it, but drop it in the laps of the provinces to implement, and expect them to happily go along with it, at the provinces' expense.

I'd like to see what happens when most of the provinces invoke the "notwithstanding" clause.
