Has too much time on their hands
Private individual buys and has 3X the jets bought working that Canada bought. Canada expected to get 8 (instead of their originally intended 18) working and the rest for parts.

Canada had bought 25 prior to this deal going through. The jets Air USA is slated to receive, 46 in total, of which 36 are flying today, will be replaced by the F-35A Joint Strike Fighter within the RAAF’s ranks and thus will be totally retired from service by the end of 2021.

But if we had stayed in the program we WERE scheduled to start getting the F-35's soon, no idea when the AMC Gremlin era jets will be replaced now, possibly another decade?
