Liberal's love China
A good article on the love affair by various members of the Liberal party.
"He responded: “There’s a level of admiration I actually have for China. Their basic dictatorship is actually allowing them to turn their economy around on a dime and say, ‘We need to go green, we want to start investing in solar’.”
"After Trudeau became prime minister in 2015, that view was reflected in then environment minister Catherine McKenna, repeatedly, unctuously and absurdly praising coal-powered China as a climate change leader."

Has too much time on their hands
Our PM has openly said it, won't call what is happening the Uhygurs genocide, is ignoring the two Michaels, is still putting Huwai in projects etc. etc. and his father and Mao (a man responsible for many tens of millions of deaths) got along good.
Someone I know often gets into discussions about what they are reading in the Chinese press (written in Chinese) and apparently a finance minister was found guilty of corruption and executed within 2 weeks of his arrest.... that's a dictatorship for you... power! I wonder what Morneau would think though.

As Canada puts in carbon taxes that do nothing but take money from the poor and middle (commuters that have to drive to work) while China increases its coal, imposes horrendous rules for car owners and has smog in many cities that has limited visibility to as small as 200M
https://phys.org/news/2021-11-beijin...eavy-smog.html
same issue in Delhi in India too though, they even banned fireworks (Brampton sounded like a continuous fireworks show on Diwali from 7:30 to about 11).

In Canada we see soaring inflation, no help to seniors, disabled, vets etc. but huge future damaging deficits and just a reminder about China and it's military activities, threats etc.

Now the news on Janes we see China has new jets rolling out ,in Taiwan the US marines are training with their troops and China is rapidly rolling out new nukes...

While building targets shaped exactly like US warships.

I missed this one about weather altering in China.... beings it shows China is doing something Canada isn't, thinking! Unworkable or impractical, it's a dictatorship and that's what Trudeau admires is their power.
On 2 December 2020, the State Council of the People’s Republic of China announced an ambitious plan under which China will develop a “weather modification system” by 2025.

Making a bad plan is thinking about the problem of the climate as it changes, Canada just screws the middle and lower incomes with more taxes and sends Trudeau surfing or some other vacation or grand standing event. No plans to reduce the heat sink issue with city and urban environments, just a tax and letting sewage dumps occur in Quebec and killing the west's oil economy and buying foreign oil... seems their "plan" is let Quebec pollute the water, send money to other countries to buy their oil and hurt the part of the country that votes mostly Conservative. (Remember Justlied at the 150 event where when he listed the provinces DIDN'T say Alberta!)

I wonder what will happen with China... she has a good analysis in the video.
China reiterates 'reunification' with Taiwan, firmly opposes foreign interference
https://www.wionews.com/world/china-...ference-459268
"We will advance the peaceful growth of relations across the Taiwan Strait and the reunification of China," he said. "We firmly oppose any separatist activities seeking 'Taiwan independence' and firmly oppose foreign interference."
"All of us, Chinese on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, should come together to advance the great and glorious cause of China's rejuvenation."

Why would you post this thread, you have been given pages of notes on Stephen Harper making all the initial overtones with the Chinese and cutting all the original trade deals? But considering almost every country in the Western World trades with China, what is the big deal?
