    Default Conservative Leader front runner.

It’s an Opinion piece, but one that will resonate with many Canadians. But please, go ahead and elect him as the Conservative Leader.

I think Jean Charest would be the Conservative Party's best choice.... name well known, respected , experienced.

It's an op-ed piece, for sure. The guy's out to lunch. So far,Poilievre is the strongest contender until someone with a higher profile emerges like Rona Ambrose.. Jean Charest would be better to stick with the Liberals, besides,he's yesterday's man the same as Peter McKay.

I think Leslyn Lewis would be the best choice but fully support Pierre, and how dare he be aligned with a peaceful protest haha what a joke..

flip flopping got O'Toole nowhere so the new leader needs to be unapologetically clear to canadians what their plan is come election time.

First of all they have to have a plan and a costed platform. But they also need to come clean on how THEY REALLY FEEL.

I believe the base of the Conservative party somehow think's they can turn back the clock in Canada some 50 years to a Canada they thought was much better, less immigrants, less other religions, blue collar jobs, mum staying home raising the children.

That is simply not viable any more in a global economy, with an aging work force, with a changing work force, with automation and robotics and AI. There is no middle class left basically very rich and the rest of us.

Fundamentally as a party they do not want to go against the very rich, so they had their way. Manufacturing jobs all lost overseas, we are left with service level jobs of a precarious nature.

So we all want to know what the Conservatives are FOR in plain language not vague terms like Canadian Values.

Peter Mc Kay seems to me to be a more viable candidate than PP.

I don't think it will be as easy for Poilievre as some people think.
He's a pro abortionist ; the anti abortionist wing of the Conservative Party is a powerful one.

I doubt if Pierre will go there, Harper was the same and never went there so it's a mute point.

Peter Mckay has some baggage although he would be viewed as a moderate being from NS and could likely take most of the Maritimes.

As well Trudeau has done zero to tax the rich so I am unsure of that point. Trudeau has increased taxes more then 25%, taxes that affect the middle class and the poor.
