Of course all the scientists will “agree” when all the ones who don’t are censored / fired.
The federal government doesn’t have sole responsibility, but they have a huge responsibility in this. The libs have been pushing divisive rhetoric since day 1, as with the dems south of the border that is their MO to justify their wacky policies. Trudeau has been unusually cozy with China as well.
Don’t forget that unlike the U.S. which has a multitude of tiny states (and so lots more borders between them) it’s not as easy for us to enforce laws at the provincial level. We cave more easily to federal pressure. Canada is one giant high school where everyone knows everyone else and we’re all connected on the socialist teet to some degree.
I’m just as disappointed in Ford as I am in Trudeau, but there have been constant protests in the GTA for over a year to no avail. So this is the next step to bring the message to the nation’s capital. And anyone who thinks mandates / closures would have been even less severe under a liberal or ndp premier are mistaken. These are the people pushing for 3 shots to be the new standard for ‘fully vaccinated’ etc.

Obviously we see things a bit differently. I’m less inclined to believe a group of people can be silenced so easily, but I have hope in humanity. I believe in freedom of expression. If our fellow Canadians want to protest the mandates let them. I think all people have that right. So if the majority of healthcare workers were against the mandates, I would expect them to have their say. They are, after all, the frontline workers experiencing the affects of the virus first hand. The virus you don’t believe exists in post 138. If it didn’t, I’m sure there would be an ample amount of doctors, nurses, etc. whistle blowing. Logic, right.
But ok let’s believe there is something more sinister afoot. Is it plausible that the organization of such a global scheme as a pandemic could be orchestrated with such precision as to cripple global economies and domestic affairs without as much as a hiccup? The level of sophistication is almost computer like. I think this scenario is much tougher to swallow.
The government and their advisers are following the data and I’m sure we will see the end of most mandates in the coming months ahead. We are nearing the end. Patience!
