For the 2nd part of Badenoch's statement. Taken from omicron hysteria thread, Rick_Illes comment:

Here’s some stats for you…. 13 people in hospital at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, 12 are unvaccinated . One more death Thursday, an unvaccinated, 67 year old I worked with for almost 30 years…..a staunch antivaxxer….I’ll take my chances with the vaccines !!

Your body, your choice. Take your chances. That is the beauty of a free and democratic society.

35% of non-ICU hospitalizations are among the not fully vaccinated. In ICUs they represent 67% of the COVID cases.

Having the shots means you are less likely to be hospitalized and much less likely to end up in an ICU.

You maybe spinning your wheels Badenoch: Maybe the indigenous peoples had the right idea. I recall reading at one point, about them not saying anything about possible hazards to their children. They simply allowed them to evaluate stuff first hand, if a child reached for a smoldering branch near the fire, they simply ignore what they were doing and allowed them to attempt to pick it up. They quickly learned there was a burning consequent to touching smoldering branches. Aristotle quoting Hesiod had this to say about students, there were three type “(1) he is best who could figure out things for himself, (2) he is good who can take the point from other, (3) but he who can neither figure out things for himself, or take the point from others is useless fellow. .

Having immunity works too, but they don't do studies on that if you haven;t heard. What most forgot is that they said it will all be over if we have a high jab rate and even if you can go to Tahiti or TGI Friday's life is nothing near back to normal. Have you seen the economy these days? Here's a broader point...How many out of all of us feel like everything is ok. We dont and that is more damaging than a 0.008% death rate. 30,000 dead, 34 million population. I heard air pollution kills 15,000 people a year on 680 or 640, we are almost two years since Mar 2020, so the death rate is the same. We never stayed home, got divorces, gained weight, got addicted to drugs and alcohol and lost our businesses to prevent air pollution death.

There's nothing special about a pass that 90% of 12+ in Ontario qualify for. What is special about it is that since September it has permitted me to dine in restaurants, travel, attend sporting events, visit exclusive Ontario hunting clubs, go to movies and other events and attractions where anti-vaxxers can't go.
