Default BC's Lower Mainland gas runs out of crude oil

Fortunately, a side effect of the Weather event in BC has created, in Chrystia Freeland's words an "opportunity" to show the tree huggers what life will be like without fossil fuels and why the pipeline that brings it to them (from Alberta) is are so important.

A refinery that supplies an estimated one-third of the gas to the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island said Tuesday it has stopped processing operations because it had run out of crude oil due to the Trans Mountain pipeline shutdown after last week’s catastrophic flooding.

Calgary-based Parkland Corp.’s Burnaby refinery is now in “standby mode,” so that it can resume processing quickly once new shipments of crude arrive via the pipeline or rail.
Not that I wish ill will on them, but sometimes it takes "walking the walk" to understand just what they are really facing when they demand an end to fossil fuels. Especially when they are heading into winter.

After a few cold nights, carbon emissions will take a back seat to having heat in their homes

also a positive: they may excommunicate their beloved Shaman over his comment:

During an interview with CHEK News on Saturday, Nov. 20, Suzuki warned that “if our leaders don’t pay attention to what’s going on” there will be “pipelines blowing up” without elaborating further.
