Not if they are destroying property or you are a trapper, but they are considered a fur bearing animal.

I bear all the expenses for their damages. It's everyone's choice, or get rid of them, or always clean and fix things after these squirrels. I think you'd have some explaining to do (and a nice ticket or maybe worse) if a conservation officer decided to ask you about the red squirrels in your pocket as you come out of the woods.

Well I ranged the tree and it was 33 meters so I shot this one (head shot) and the other took off so I didn’t get to shoot at it.
