    Default Climate Change is Good

I know that there is a lot of talk and hipe about climate change - we are told and it appears that there is somewhat of a warming trend going on over the world - but let's put this into perspective - so what - actually it may be a good thing - it will allow many more area of the globe to product food and become inhabitable - you Canadians should welcome a little warmer climate - I say let things work itself out and not get all worked up over something we don't even understand - someone mentioned the polar bears having a hard time - well they just need to adjust to the warmer climate - like every other animal had to over the years

One other thing - the one world order crowd wants the industrialize countries to give up their standard of living so that the poorer countries can catch up - you can't ignore what their agenda is - one religion, one equal economy and no nationalism - this is suppose to produce a utopia where war or any conflict is unnecessary - remember carbon is a good thing - the plants love it -

It doesn't hurt to develop alternative sources of energy because thee will be a time when carbon based energy is run out but using carbon fuels at this time should not be penalized

That's been my feelings on the subject for a long time, embrace the positive side effect of a slighter warmer climate.

Shorter winters, longer growing seasons, we haven't had a killing frost here in Ontario yet, almost a month late and of course always nicer to hunt in Nov when there is no snow.

The Polar bears are already adapting Joe...they've discovered they're moving south and mating with the Grizzlies !!

Endangered polar bears are breeding with grizzly bears, creating hybrid “pizzly” bears, and it's being driven by climate change, scientists say.

As the world warms and Arctic sea ice thins, starving polar bears are being driven ever further south, where they meet grizzlies, whose ranges are expanding northwards. And with that growing contact between the two species comes more mating, and therefore increased sightings of their hybrid offspring.

With features that could give them an edge in warming northern habitats, some scientists speculate that the pizzlies, or "grolars", could be here to stay.

I think its called a Mayfly that only lives one day ...
do they have prophesies of sun falling and world ending ? cause none would see the sunrise the day after ...

We havent been on this planet enough to know and see the oscillation of temps and warming cooling waves, in my opinion.

Joe, there are some valid points in your post but also many other things that you haven’t considered.

One big thing is that there are hundreds of millions (or billions ?) of people around the world that depend on glacial meltwater and when that water stops, they’ll be looking for somewhere else to go.

If you we North Americans think we have border control issues now ? Wait till our Liberal governments open the floodgates to all the Third World CLIMATE REFUGEES. It’s coming.

Been here long enough to know that Humans have no ability to change the course though.

For sure clean up our garbage...but it won't affect the inevitable.

So you're saying , like the Polar Bear losing it's habitat and forced to evolve...so should mankind ?

Your right about borders, if you know how water is supplied to California and Arizona ( about 40 million people ) from a single source (Hoover Damn) , you know that there will be a lot of people moving to survive. Our wintery climate will be a magnet.

Is Hoover Dam drying up? The lake surface has dropped 140 feet since 2000, leaving the reservoir just 37 percent full. With such a dramatic drop, officials expect to declare an official water shortage for the first time ever.

There are two schools of thought on climate change (if you believe in that stuff....) - mitigation and adaptation. Mitigation is the only thing you read about today - the green BS thing - which based on results today is not going to work. The other is adaptation - learning to live with whatever happens. Cali's big issue is water. Most of the state relies on meltwater from the rockies and the colorado river. Do you realize how big the Mackenzie river is? How about a water pipeline from the Mackenzie head waters to the Coloradao? That will do more for Californians that any of the measures tried today or proposed for the future. Cali banned gas lawnmowers and leaf blowers this week... Cali politicians worried about water security for their state and they come up with this? Not a lot of thinking going on there.

The biggest issue we face is overpopulation .Numbers demand food,water,shelter,roads,energy,work?........No one talks about it...........
Then there is zero local responsibility for overpopulation in a given location. Why California has to be that large?

Once there was the 4th largest lake in the world-the Aral sea.
    68000 sq km.
1960 some geniuses came up with the idea to divert the waters of Amu Darya and SirDarya, which were feeding the lake for millions of years ,to irrigate the arid surrounding land.
By 1997 the "sea"was a mere 3500 sq km,the area is a waste land ,the airborne pollution from seabed is killing the locals, and as far the eye can see-there are marooned fishing boats rotting away.

Lets not give ide to the Dumbs and Dumbers ,to feed California with the Mackenzie PLEASE.

That is a big topic of conversation in most of North America. But just the opposite. With dwindling population growth ( almost all area are approaching '0' population growth --more die than are born). Many places are going bankrupt because no money (taxes) are being generated and they can't maintain their infrastructure: no money for education, policing, education hospitals, etc.

There was an article just this week from Alberta where, since 2012, 15 communities have dissolved in Alberta, and are now facing bankruptcy.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmon...rise-1.6213619

Politicians are well aware that is happening, their solution increase immigration....A) to get more tax revenue and B) to import workers/labour.

Population distribution is a hot topic. Canada plans on immigration of 400K people this year to help fill our need to increase the population.

You're right, at least in some parts of the world. Population growth needs to be addressed as a drain on resources and increased pollution. India and China, two of the worlds worst GHG polluters are overpopulated.
