    Thats the whole point of all the weapons prohibitions. Governments dont like the competion on the use of force.

    Actually Cameracutter, if you read carefully I don’t think Deer Hunter was laughing at the horror of the people being killed and injured. He appears to have been laughing at the fruitless attempt of governments to ensure public safety by banning and prohibiting this and that. It just doesn’t work, that why I found it of interest that the suspect would select a bow and arrows over other types of firearms to carry out his rampage. Banning or prohibiting one thing or other, only leads to the selection of some other instrument, leaving the public unsuspectedly vulnerable and just as unsafe. To paraphrase, Ralph Goodale it is basically impossible to prevent the actions of a lone wolf. Blair who took over from Ralph appears to lack the depth of Goodale's insight.
