I still see no issue with it. Nobody is forcing anybody to use facebook. As you said that's why there are alternatives. As long as it is a private company Zuckerberg can run it any he wants regardless of what the original purpose was - that's his right. If enough people don't like it they will stop using it and he will change the policies. It's about money and he will operate in whatever manner makes the most money - also his right. It is no different than the dress code at a restaurant - don't like it eat somewhere else.

Facebook censoring their content is no different than any other form of social media including this forum. Now if the only place to voice your views was facebook and you were forced to use it than that would be different and i would agree that free speech rights were being curtailed.

One is the key number there. There have been 7,888 cases of COVID-19 in patients under the age of 20 in Canada, according to Public Health Agency of Canada data last updated Monday night. Of those thousands of young infected patients, only one has died.

We know that the one young Canadian to die after contracting COVID-19 is female, but nothing else – not their age, not whether their medical history left them at higher risk of serious complications from infection, not even if they died because of COVID-19 or died of something else after being diagnosed with the disease.

Yes , my Dad was overseas 6 years in WW2. He came home a shadow of himself /PTSD. I appreciate greatly the sacrifices he made to provide the freedoms I enjoy.

PS Must have had too much coffee; I never get into these discussions.
So just because YOU been vaccinated, so world be damned, lets vaccinate all against whatever with whatever shot? Did I get you correctly?

Look around folks. GM and Ford shut down production because they don't have chips. These chips aren't only in cars, they're in everything we use. Police, healthcare workers, paramedics to name a few are being fired over vaccine mandates. Massive truck driver shortage. UK fuel shortage. Covid is soon going to be a sideshow. Have a look at the number of container ships sitting off the west coast with nobody to unload them. The real problems are just getting started. I work in food production and we're starting to see the materials we need to make certain products become unavailable. What do you think happens when food and fuel shortages start?

...and everyone is worried about who is or isn't vaccinated...

Some of us are just waiting for others to clue in on covid being a trojan horse for whatever societal change we are seeing and experiencing.

I dont think you quite get the issue.

Say you had a long-term girlfriend. You got used to her, started to trust her and share you life with. And then bang, one day the b...ch starts to cheat on your with the guy you hate back from the highschool, who used to bully you. Whats worse is you dont find out right away but months after it started happening. The only reason you actually find out is because the telltail signs were just overwhelming.

If you think people can spot easily that the fb is censoring the hell out of some topics, you are gravely mistaken. People generally trust sources they used for years, like fb or even the mainstream channels on tv. People will switch to something else afterwards but there is a process and not everyone goes through it the same way.
