Firearms in Canada are so entrenched in our culture that it is a de facto right of ownership.
With the millions in circulation good luck with that statement.

Canadians have ZERO rights to own anything. We have "privileges" which can disappear at the stroke of the Governor General's pen........which we've just witnessed with the OIC.

Well our Bill of Rights say otherwise..we have the right to own a firearm......but you are correct, if the sitting government change the 'Act' (laws/regulations) that right can be stripped in the interest of Public Safety.

The Supreme Court has yet to rule if the OIC can be adopted into law.

The Charter has this little clause neatly tucked inside...."except where prescribed by law" effectively negating everything in the document that pertains to "rights."

This was one of the main questions I asked myself because the answer seemed to me very superficial but strange. I don't think I'm the only one with such a judgment about guns. It's legal until the mass killings started. I think you should be careful with it and use it for its intended purpose without threatening someone close to you. It has been extraordinarily helpful to me, so I have begun to take more interest in this topic to be more knowledgeable.

The average American would be absolutely aghast and horror-striken if they knew how diametrically opposed the politics of their neighbors to the north whom they believe have a free and democratic society like their own. Not anxious at all , I am a hunter, I have all my guns to use for hunting and I am on a hunting forum.

If I were an AR 15 owner I might be on another forum complaining I guess.

What about all the guns that could be used for hunting (and probably were) that went from non restricted to banned? Mood point I guess because they have no clue who has them or where they are.......

Don't you get it? You gave no 'right' to own firearms. You have them because the government lets you have them, with some restrictions. A privilege if you will. If 90% of all Canadian voters, for all parties, decide they will be no more, they are gone.

They will only stop the legal buying and selling of them but they will still be out there. If rural Canadians do not believe and get behind the ban it will simply NOT happen. Just because Citiots in Toronto buy into Billy's cult of "making Canadians safer" while illegal guns and gangs run the jungle, does not mean everyone else in Canada does.

Yes the states are going to loose guns too that will be interesting

I heard Biden talking yesterday that no one needs a gun that can take 20-30 bullets per cartridge yeah joe 20 bullets per cartridge is a little excessive.
