Default Ontario keeping vaccine passports through winter

Well this is going to cause a lot of pushback ..it's already starting and were less than 4 days in:

Ontario's top doctor says proof-of-vaccine certificates will be in place through the winter with modelling showing the potential for a "significant rise" in COVID-19 cases after the holidays.

Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Kieran Moore made the comment on Friday while announcing an easing of capacity restrictions for some outdoor and indoor settings.

"I do think they are going to be with us for the fall and winter at a minimum," Moore said. "I have seen modelling where we have a significant rise in January and February after the Christmas holidays. That is disconcerting."

There is very little Govid activity in all of Eastern Ont to warrant 'Emergency' Health measures...let alone keep up with the facade and trying to manipulate and coerce last 12% of the population to get vaccinated over the winter.

As of Wednesday, Sept. 22, the Government of Ontario has mandated proof of vaccination to enter certain indoor public settings, such as restaurants, gyms and municipal centres.

But some business owners are choosing not to comply with the new regulations — including those at Elgin's Rideau Restaurant and Pizzeria.

"We do not discriminate against any customer based on sex, gender, race, creed, age, location, vaccinated or not vaccinated," reads a post on the restaurant's Facebook page.

Owners Brandon and Laila Deyo say in a joint statement this was "obviously a very difficult decision to make."

More than anything, they felt the mandates being proposed by the government were not consistent.

"Why must patrons be segregated based on personal health decisions, yet staff, for example, were not required to be vaccinated (or show proof of vaccination status)? This just doesn’t make sense."

Additionally, they feel the mandates "create further division among our friends, family, community and province" and are ultimately taking the country in the wrong direction.

"Canadians have had this freedom historically and we feel strongly it needs to stay that way for the better of society."

I also see that they have raised the goal post to 90% vaccination now for herd immunity.

The worlds standard is 70-80% vaccination for herd immunity.

Moore said he hopes Ontario can reach a 90 per cent rate of vaccination as quickly as possible, which is target the government says is needed to significantly slow transmission.

You beat me to this post.

Doug Ford said in his recent press conference "don't worry, it's just a temporary measure...we only want to enable it for the least amount of time possible."

There will be a few outlets that violate public health laws. It remains to be seen what actions are taken by government but an inspector can close a restaurant on the spot for public health violations. And the handful who do violate the laws may encounter some headwinds when renewing their liquor or business licenses.

An acquaintance if mine owns a convenience store. He follows the mask and distancing laws even though he profoundly disagrees with them because he does not want to jeopardize his tobacco and lottery licenses.

The push back is well established. Over 137K strong in Ontario alone and growing daily.
This is from both vaccinated and unvaccinated residents from all walks of life, police, doctors, fireman, military. You name it.

The handful of tyrannical fake fear mongering idiots who insist on pursuing this agenda will soon answer for their crimes.

Because the vaccine is broken and they know it . That's why it was changed.

If it was even close to a traditional vaccine they wouldn't need to change it.

They went with plan A a vaccine is the only way out . We have plan A it didn't work so they keep pushing plan A. They didn't have a plan B so they continue to push for plan A.

Now we plan A with restrictions. Like that's going to fix the issues lol.

They keep pushing the goal post. That has been the plan from the beginning.

Hey finally a plus side of being ostracized for personal choices:

Alta. judge says unvaccinated prospective jurors in sex assault trial will be excused

An Alberta Court of Queen's Bench justice has ruled that prospective jurors in an upcoming sexual assault trial in Calgary will be excused if they're not vaccinated against COVID-19.
Justice N.E. Devlin wrote in his ruling Thursday that allowing unvaccinated people to serve on the jury could unfairly compromise the health of other jurors, court staff and anyone else connected with the trial.
I still haven't figured out how a vaccinated person can be compromised by an unvaccinated one. They are no threat to each other.

But hey, if it gets you out of Jury Duty !!
