Lot of Rain
We got around 7 inches of rain yesterday - the sump pump came on but then the power went out - had to hurry and get one of my generators from the out building and hook it up to the sump pump - the one I used is a Honda eu 2000ie - the day before I tested this generator out to see if I'm ready for any emergency - it wouldn't start - shot some starter fluid into the carb and it turned over so I knew that it had spark - took the carb apart and cleaned it - then it started like a champ - I also have a Craftman 4000kw generator but didn't need to use it this time - after about 4 hours the power came on again - boy without power you realize how dependent you are on the stuff -
I need to redirect some of my down spouts from the rain gutters - seems like the water from the roof ends up too close to the house - today I started getting wood for the winter - was too busy during the year and couldn't get any - lucky I have a lot of dead ash trees that I can saw up and these are pretty dry already - I am really thankful that my cataract surgery went well - can really see now and things no longer look cloudy - hang in there guys - enjoy what God has given you - Joe

In my whole life I've never seen 7" of rain all at once. If we get a 20 minute gully washer about once a month, that's a big deal. Glad everything worked as planned for you,Joe.

It's almost happened here in Ontario this summer in July with just thunderstorms. Between Delhi and Teeterville, 5 inches in one rain and Stromness also 5 inches in one rain event.
Quite the pics and videos.

No - keep meaning to do something to make it easier to use generator but never get around to it - right now I run extension cords from generator outside on the patio into the house through the cellar door
