I'm good with that Just remember Paris Accord = Climate Lockdowns= No Hunting & Fishing, As for saving the puppies and jabbing your kids without your consent he could change his mind like he did with Carbon Tax if his Masters tell him too.

Looks like your man Doug will be joining the Turd on the campaign trail tomorrow, probably bribed him with a stick of butter. https://banned.video/watch?id=6127aec0abc8646db85e138e

Well, I believe the strategy for him calling an election now, is he projects his popularity will drop over the next two years. He's hoping
for a majority so he can get his ideas passed in parliament, as the opposition parties are blocking him all the time.

He has to implement some hard policies around COVID, and probably more painful will be dealing with inflation and spending
which will require taxes to be increased. In 2 years, he will be very unpopular .. so he needs a 4 year term to have a hope of winning
the next election. The first 2 years will see his popularity drop big time, the next 2 years will be repair strategies (spend more money) ...
to try and not lose the next election.

If he gets a minority, he's pretty much screwed ... he won't be able to pass any crazy stuff ... and that will just give the opposition more
power to erode people's confidence in him. I think they'd have very little chance of winning the next election.

So, if he wins a minority, it would be political suicide to call an election in 2 years. It would be the worst timing ever, and sure
to lose control of power. His odds would be better in 4 years, even though they still won't be great, in my opinion.

Not a big concern...If he loses his majority bid and is forced to settle for a minority government a good chance the party will mutiny and he'll walk the plank. He'l have become a liability.

There are already rumours to that effect...Freelan has ambitions HaHa.

    .
I actually think he was taking a page out of the Liberal strategy in the 90s: basically whenever the opposition has a new leader call a snap election before he can get established. It was a tried and true method of the Chretien liberals. People may or may not remember Brian Tobin's idiotic "Parliament had ceased to work" comment when they actually had a majority.

I truly believe this was a cynical attempt by Trudeau and his advisors to capitalize on what they perceived was a rather underwhelming reaction to O'Toole's first few months as leader. At they same time they seemed to have overestimated their popularity. But it's still a long way to election day.... look for the attack ads to start flowing shortly....
