A real honest to goodness assault style looking weapon the Barrett M82
"For the cartels, the M82 has also become a status symbol. The gun should not be in the hands of civilians, the official said, its armor-piercing bullets can knock out the motors of reconnaissance vehicles and endanger helicopters
"It appears to have made it across the U.S. southern border into Mexico. I have to wonder if it has made its way across the U.S. northern border into this country. I guess it will be something more to play upon B.B's mind. I have to wonder what type of arrangements have been made to prevent this baby from being smuggled across the line into Canada.

True dat!! Guaranteed, though, somewhere there'll be someone who will argue that anyone with a PAL should be able to use one of these for hunting.

There is an upside to this, when criminals start blasting away with these babies , it will possibly make it more difficult to finger the law-abiding firearm owners, who were never that much of a problem, and finally get down to focusing on the criminal element within society. They should of been doing this all a long as oppose to passing ill conceived legislation that only served to subject law-abiding gun owners to restriction under criminal law, in an attempt to garner vote, from a less than informed public, who had little understanding of how they were being bated for their votes. The downside is, it could place those sworn to serve and protect in the forefront of some extremely menacing fire power.
