They went thru this after flu shots first came out....my wife refused to get the shot (as did about 40% of the staff) and the unions had their backs.

I hear what you are saying. My family is vax free except my daughter who is a RN at a LTC home supervising staff. It was mandated on her. Hopefully the gods injected a saline solution in her. One can only hope!
We tried to tell her the rights she has under the charter but I guess media and peer pressure got to her. A career move that hopefully does not come back and haunt her. Her intentions in caring for the elderly are noble.

Trudeau asks top public servant to look into mandatory vaccination for federal workers
Government also exploring mandatory vaccination for federally regulated industries

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said today he has asked the clerk of the Privy Council to look into making vaccines mandatory for federal employees and is pleading with hesitant Canadians to get their shots.

"It's time for people to get vaccinated, and for those who are hesitant to go and get their first and second doses," Trudeau said during a press conference with Quebec Premier François Legault today.

"That's why I've asked the clerk of the Privy Council, who is responsible for the federal public service, to look at mandatory vaccinations for federal employees."

The prime minister also said the government is looking into making vaccines mandatory in federally regulated industries, such as the airline, banking and rail sectors.
Here's the list of all federally-regulated workplaces.

The Canada Labour Code (the Code) regulates the following industries and workplaces:

    • banks, including authorized foreign banks
    • grain elevators, feed and seed mills, feed warehouses and grain-seed cleaning plants
    • first Nations band councils (including certain community services on reserve)
    • most federal Crown corporations, for example, Canada Post Corporation
    • port services, marine shipping, ferries, tunnels, canals, bridges and pipelines (oil and gas) that cross international or provincial borders
    • radio and television broadcasting
    • railways that cross provincial or international borders and some short-line railways
    • road transportation services, including trucks and buses, that cross provincial or international borders
    • telecommunications, such as, telephone, Internet, telegraph and cable systems
    • uranium mining and processing and atomic energy
    • any business that is vital, essential or integral to the operation of one of the above activities
    • Federally regulated public sector (parts II and IV of the Code only):
    • the federal public service
    • Parliament (such as, the Senate, the House of Commons and the Library of Parliament)
    • Private-sector firms and municipalities in Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut (part I of the Code only)

In life there is always a choice.
People in France are firmly expressing their opinion at this time.
Canadian citizens will do the same.

Those who promote this jab will be called to answer for their crimes against humanity.

I don't see any point in mandating something that is not going to stop the transmission lol.

They are now saying long haul covid is still a thing if your vaccinated some vaccinated people are experiencing even longer hauls.

Why does it matter if a third of the vaccinated have the same virus load as a non vaccinated . And many of the vaxxed can spread it so why is it being pushed the way it is. ?

The push for kids the get the shot was crazy for what? To prevent a couple of deaths ? Only 14 people under the age of 20 have passed with the virus. That's about 1 death for every 28 thousand death's in Canada if there is an average of 800 a Day.

Or 1 person died with covid on average every 35.7 day on a the low end.

How many kids died the in the first part of the regular flu season in 2018? Wanna take a Guess ? Many kids under the age of 10 did anyone give a damn ? So why the big push?

Oh now they don't care who's vaxxed or not students or teacher's it was just another nudge to get the shot .

Why are they saying for kids to get the shot in the states? Because ICU is filling the southern hospitals and it's not covid related. But again just another nudge why are they telling parents in the USA to wear a mask inside their home if they have kids under 12 not vaccinated. To put more pressure to push this experiment.
