That is pay packages. How do you include assets , investments , home, in that? Does it not apply to net worth. So everyone with a home , paid for, in the GTA is a ‘ have’ ? Pretty low bar. You can make 200 grand a year and own nothing. Make much much less and own a home, are they then ‘haves’?

    Not sure.
But if we aren’t going to include the single largest asset (property) for Canadians. Then it would be incomes and savings/pensions vs debt.

A few blurbs from the link.
-Homeowners reported a higher median net worth ($685,400) compared with renters ($24,000).

-The median net worth for those families with an EPP (pension) was $633,300 in 2019, nearly seven times higher than for those without an EPP ($91,200).

-then to there are liquid assets. Basically anything that is, or can be made cash right fast

In 2019, the median value of liquid financial assets held by families was $27,700. Senior-led families held $107,000 in these assets, while lone-parent families held $5,500.

At the end of the day, we’ve know for a couple decades that the wealth gap, which is both income and net worth not either or, is widening. We’ve also known, that the typical Canadian is struggling to save. these things aren’t new.

And that gap because you kind of need income to build net worth unless your a trust fund baby, is between the 20% and everyone else.

Lastly, consider this (there’s a lot more like jobs, 2008/2020, taxes etc). How many people around the middle, that gross typical Canadian numbers (say half the population and somewhere around $40,000-$50,000), can buy property?

People gripe about the 1%, and yes it’s “obscene”. Not the problem

    and maybe lastly lastly.
    median net worth $325,000

and that despite closets selling for $1,000,000 in the gta/Vancouver.

What other secret society would JFK be referring to when he made this speach.

So since my family has been pretty high up in the Masons, maybe I should join (I'm the only one who hasn't).

I asked my Uncle if I could control Ontario or at least Eastern Ontario, he didn't answer me so I figure that meant No.
