Welcome to social media. Facebook is just one site, there's millions more places to go online that feed people so much bs. BTW the young kids aren't into FB.
The internet in general along with the many social media platforms is whats turned the world into the disaster were living in.

"The Liberal government’s push to speed controversial broadcasting bill C-10 through Parliament hit a road bump Tuesday, when the Speaker of the House voided dozens of amendments to the bill."
"The Heritage committee voted on those amendments last week, without debate or the ability to consult experts. The unusual process, in which the public wasn’t aware of what MPs were voting on until days later, was criticized as “secret” law-making by University of Ottawa law professor Michael Geist."

We are not immune. This site has it’s own share of BS. Credentials count.

So in case there is the rare unbeliever that all our data is extracted by big-tech.
My friend and I were having a "private" end-to-end encryption chat on car covers (cloths to go over a car in a garage),
in WhatsApp. No pictures, no web links ... just, can you recommend one. No I can't, but speak to Bob ... etc.
2 days later, I am seeing Car Cover Adverts in my Instagram.
FB owns them all.
It's a disgusting invasion of privacy. You have NO privacy.

Actually it's not an invasion of privacy by using the app you have agreed to the terms.
