I was of the same opinion until just a few years ago then the Kids moved out and away, I signed up as away to communicate with them. It does have some other advantages as Canadaman said. You have access to info that would be difficult to find through search engines and websites, I particularly like the Market Place Buy and Sell as the pictures are much more detailed than Kijiji and often the same ads. With the good though also comes the bad, I'm in FB jail now and had to make account for the dog. lol

Facebook has a lot of misleading information, to contact my kid's and grand kids I either text, call or use Zoom. I don't need facebook.

Been talking to my son inlaw and daughter for several days as they are asking advice on renovations on the house they bought. I don't need facebook for that. The only useful thing I can see with Facebook is maybe the Marketplace.

First time I think I've ever seen someone from the CBC put a Liberal minister on the hot seat.

What does it take to get sent to the FB hoosegow?
Wise men learn from the mistakes of others. Smart men learn from their own mistakes. Many do neither.

A mean spirited comment about our P.M. got me 30 days, a goofy meme got me 7 days, unicorn piss and fairy farts got me 3 days. I can't remember what the 24 hour one was about it was a while ago. It's a hypersensitive liberal platform with just enough conservatism to get you to come back.

Personally I consider Facebook a virus, I will not allow my family to access on my computers or phone, they can access it on their own computers but not mine. So much fake news on there, someone posted a report saying insurance companies would null and void life insurance if you got the covid vaccine and that was so fake it wasn't even funny.

Only because that is the way business is done in Ontario, Ontario is the only province that use face cord which is not a official measurement. In NB it is a cord which is 4X8X4, same with the other provinces, I can't help it if Ontario is backwards..

On my "disposable" account I got a day for "Bullying" when on the Liberal page I posted a "well the reality is and a youtube link" for a day.

One real account and one you can follow any group you want and make the odd comment and dispose of without regret. I have the real one locked down, can't be searched (an option) and only accept people I know. The trashcan account I follow everything just to see what people are saying and doing that I wouldn't want to have any real associations with, like the Liberal party.... just got this advertisement off of it.
