Default Septic pumping company with small 4x4 pumping truck, Lanark Highlands

Does anyone know of septic pumping company that services the Lanark Highlands and that has a 4x4 pick-up type pumping truck?

Not from your area but some of the companies that rent out the "blue rockets" use 1 ton pick ups with the pump out tanks on back. Might be worth looking into.

I would just call any company and ask if they can do the job. Most of the companies that I have seen in Ottawa seem to have a small truck

Better yet call around a few RV/Trailer parks in the area and find out who they use locally...

I had Valley Wide Pumping out of Arnprior clean mine for $250 last year but that is a full size truck.

Your best source would be to call one of the local shops such as Ron's in Pakenham and get a referral.

So, I've called several companies that service the area, and none of them have smaller trucks that could access the site. One toilet rental company said they have small trucks, but they are too small and weren't willing to do it. It seems that F550 type trucks that have ~900 gallon tanks on them exist, which would be able to do the job in one trip, but no local companies seem to use them. There's one company in Huntsville, but that's a 3.5 hour trip so I doubt they would do my cottage. There has to be someone closer.

Regarding the RV/Trailer parks, I assume they would use the big local companies, and I think I have contacted most of them. Those sites would also likely have relatively easy access to the septic tanks.

Anyone have any other ideas, or can point me in the direction of some resources to help me solve this problem?

I know of farmers who literally just pump it out into their fields.

Why can't you get a bigger truck in? Is there anything you can do to get a truck in something in the way ?

I may have to just get some companies to do site visits and tell me if they can get any of their trucks in. The "road" to my cottage is more of a trail. There are some pretty tight corners, and the part leading right to the cottage is steep; so steep that my kids used it as a tobogganing hill during the winter.
