Default What I Am Proud Of

I've done a lot of things in my life that I am proud of - let me give you 3 of them - they are not necessarily the most important ones but they are ones that few if any other person call claim - (1) I've owned a lot of cars in my life time (around 21) and I have never taken any one of them to a place to have the oil changed - I always changed my own oil - (2) I have never watched a NBA basketball game - never could figure why someone would get excited over a 7 ft tall guy with 4 ft long arms stuff a ball in a basket which is at 10 ft. - (3) I haven't gone to movie theater since 1965 - I still remember that last movie I saw - Exodus - quite a record I'd say

Told the boys a few years ago I took the wife to the movies, they asked what I saw and I told them nothing, I dropped her off and left. They laughed, I laughed, we had another beer.

I took a different turn Joe....hadn't gone to a movie theatre in probably 30 yrs....then all of a sudden, my buddy and I started going to the afternoon matinees a couple a years back. Movies that had a good story line that had to be seen on the big screen....like 'Ford v Ferrari'. It's a fun outing, usually take in a 11:00 showing then we go to lunch.

I'm with you on sports, I haven't watched a professional sport game on TV of any kind. I did get free tickets to a Hockey game once and took my kids..but otherwise no interest either.

Went to a local hockey game after arrived to Canada-to see the real deal live..
    Nice experience. That was it.
Wen to see the New York Yankees to play one of the last game in the OLD Yankee Stadium-to see "history"before it was gone, and to experience a baseball game once in my life(two for one).
Otherwise-never spent any time in front of TV for any sports(never did go to watch live any other game either.)

Movies-did not go to movies since got married ,and maybe the first 10 years in Canada.

Then i Re discovered the movies.
Never did go to see any chick flick(my wife does that with my daughter)but we do go to watch and see most of the "famous and spectacular "movies on BIG screen.

Makes a world of difference to watch :the Lord of the rings ,Planet of the apes,Enemy at the gates ,The lone survivor- on the Big Screen.

    Highly recommend this technique.
