Got my first shot today of Maderna. Just like the liquor store, in one door and out the other. No big deal, no sore arm, no aches, no pain. Next one is scheduled in August and my only concern is that it doesn't conflict with any fishing trips.

    2186 Getting Ready To Puke

Well we know the Dual Variant is in Canada
    https://toronto.ctvnews.ca/ontario-i...ndia-1.5400313

We know Justlied Trudeau is a massive misinformation source
    https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=3684264751664562

and we know he ordered 5X what Canada needs (depriving other nations) and the rollout is really screwed up

and Justlied wants to keep people scared and locked down.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53pNegyiFnY

and we know the AstraZeneca has resulted in some clots,
    https://www.reuters.com/world/americ...ne-2021-04-17/

rare but some countries have stopped using it and the US sent it's unused AZ to Mexico but it seems some came here too.
It is also reported 76% effective or worse against variants,so 24% + won't have any protection, more shots until ????, hence the order of 300M?
    https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/news-pers...s-b117-variant
"Overall efficacy was 61.7% against the B117 variant and 77.3% against other variants, according to the study. The vaccine was 81.5% effective in preventing symptomatic COVID-19 caused by non-B117 strains."

** Personal NOTE, based on what I have read it seems the AZ IF it works may have a longer antibody duration in the body BUT it isn't as effective as the Pfizer etc in the short term. My OPINION is that due to the nature of the vaccine (mRNA type) as the virus mutates beyond the current variants (seems good against variants SO FAR) the Pfizer won't stay in the body as long possibly to work as long or as well as AZ, I hear it over and over this type of vaccine is an unknown.
    https://www.cnbc.com/2021/03/29/cdc-...effective.html

    • A single dose of Pfizer’s or Moderna’s Covid-19 vaccine was 80% effective in preventing infections, according to a new CDC study.
    • Two doses are better than one, the CDC said, adding that the vaccines’ effectiveness jumped to 90% two weeks after the second dose.

and we know that for under 55 it is not recommended in some countries but AZ just opened up for ages 40+ in Ontario and Canada say 30+
    https://www.680news.com/2021/04/16/n...commendations/

    But Other countries
    https://www.reuters.com/article/heal...-idUSKBN2BU1R0
"Italy recommended on Wednesday that AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 shot only be used on those over 60 and Britain that people under 30 should get an alternative, due to possible links between the vaccine and very rare cases of blood clots."

Now the Pfizer between shots is saying 21 days....Moderna is 28 days but I just booked mine and the 2nd is in 16 WEEKS.
    https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...-BioNTech.html
    https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019...s/Moderna.html

Locked down, scared, relying on unreliable media and govt and possibly dependant on the next shot from the government for travel permission, say once or twice a year since the effectiveness and duration are completely unknown and now talking about mail in ballots and an election ....

For those who have had the shot what was the process you went through, which vaccine did you get, where did you have to go, did you have side effects and was anything said about the second shot?

I pre-registered online with the Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph health unit on March 11, received notice to make an appointment on March 29 and booked the earliest availability which was on April 8.

The process at the clinic set up at the University of Guelph was very smooth and took 30 minutes from arrival to departure. I received the Pfizer vaccine and written and email confirmation that I’d been vaccinated with the first shot including the brand and lot number. I was told the health unit would contact me for the second shot.

The next day I had a slight stiffness in my arm and didn’t feel quite 100 percent in the morning. By the afternoon I was back to normal.

For those who’ve had the shot(s) how did it go for you?
I'm schedule for my shot on Monday, it would seem along time coming, my daughter finally was able to book me in a few weeks back. Both my spouse and daughter have had their shots, my spouse because she visit her mother in a long term care facility, my daughter because she is an RN.

Did they get any kind of an antibody test? Listening to the Duck Dynasty and the impact COVID has had on them including Uncle Si almost dying.

Reason for posting ....NOTE: two of the people that had COVID were just tested and DID NOT have the antibodies anymore.

All I Know is they seem to be continually being tested, pretty much on something of a weekly basis, So it would appear that there is ongoing monitoring. So far so good in both their circumstances.

    Which one did they get?

More than half Canada's AstraZeneca vaccine came from U.S. plant accused by FDA of quality-control problems
Controversy first erupted in March when it was revealed that cross-contamination at the Baltimore plant had ruined 15 million doses of the J&J product
