It will be interesting to see on how the OPP react to it.
I stopped by for a few minutes...good crowd. The OPP came and were basically told to get lost. One told Randy he was in violation of the Ontario Health Act and Randy responded we was exercising his freedom under Charter of Rights. The crowd started to chant 'Freedom' and the OPP slinked away.
Made me proud of my community...these provincial 'blanket' Covid response lockdowns have permanently closed way to many good businesses here and the virus was never an issue.

Mike, thanks for the report and good on you for simply showing up and supporting the group even for just a few minutes in a peaceful way.
I went out yesterday and noticed no difference in vehicular traffic in and around town.
I stopped for a couple of grocery items and people were all calm, courteous and relaxed.
Plenty of people walking around enjoying the beautiful weather as well.
So, the government really needs to show were their numbers and dire predictions of doom and gloom are coming from.
Fear mongering simply does not support their lockdowns.
When I was in school, if I was presented with a math equation I could not simply give the final answer and be done with it.
The logic and work had to be presented and demonstrated on how I arrived to that conclusion otherwise I was graded an "F"
This is exactly what this government is omitting, not showing the work and thus gets a "FAIL" grade.
People are waking up to this.

I never heard of him until Ford fired him. It's refreshing to see someone who will ask the questions, has common sense, and rally a crowd the way he does for not just his constituents but for all Canadians. The man truly is an asset, we need more Randy's in government.

Randy was first elected in 2007 and never made much of an impact. He ran for leader in 2009 and finished fourth with 10 percent of the votes. COVID is his last hurray on the downside of a mediocre career.

I guess your not a working man in Lanark Township...must be a city boy.
He was always well liked in Lanark county, he always went after the Government in defence of the working man. Farmers loved him. He founded the Lanark Landowners Association that morphed into the Ontario Landowners Association. People wanted him in politics to help make things better...and he did. In 2018 he garnered 5x (26K) the vote the Liberals got (5K).
He was never politically correct...and unfortunately you can't survive at the level of MPP and he would never kowtow. Why he's still so popular in Eastern On.

LMAO, The conservative party as of recent has been just stellar at picking leaders. I'd take Randy over Douggie any day.

Randy's never going to get above big fish in small pond. He can run as an independent but his chances of victory would be slim. The NDP finished second in that riding. Randy might play spoiler and get them elected.
