I would use the proper tool, like about a 20 foot boat to watch from, rather than being the size they might just want to crunch up for lunch. But that's my opinion and those that want to try their luck, have at it.

If you think you have to be in deep water to see sharks.... that probably 8'+ reef shark I saw in 4' of water at the resort would prove that wrong, but even bigger and even shallower.
