Totally agree with you Joepa, but in Canada the Liberal government has actually stated in the past that firearms are not to be used to save your or anyone life. The Liberal mantra is you should allow yourself to be rape or killed.

Under our self defense laws,we're allowed to match force with equal force when a person is in reasonable fear of grievous harm or death dealing with an armed assailant or someone who states they intend to do so. If a weapon happens to be available,including a firearm,so be it. Canadian case law is full of incidents of crooks being killed where no charges were laid or were withdrawn before trial.
