Coyote is deep snow

I am wondering what all the coyotes do in these kind of-semi mild winter days.

The snow is deep ,also not hard enough to keep them walking on it. The creeks and ditches are full of snow, there are snowdrifts in the open bush, and no game is moving much.
What do they do and where they are at?

In with the rabbits in the thickets on ridges and hilltops.

They stick close to deer yards too in attempt to pick off stragglers. Heavy cedar or hemlock/balsam woods.

At this time of year,they're usually starting to drop pups,so,they're staying fairly close to dens and food sources. Like any other animal,when they travel,they always take the paths of least resistance,so,look for them along field edges where snow has started to melt exposing grassy areas that are easy to walk on and stay out of the mud. Play the wind and set up along field edges,too,on higher areas where you have a clear field of vision and fire. Set your call up and don't move around too much.

Breeding season is winding down but they are still territorial and respond to coyote vocals well.

We have 3ft of snow in the bush and almost 3ft in fields. Coyotes defintely aren't crossing roads/open fields as much but they still.getting around. We've been hammering them last few weeks. Coyotes can't run as fast as before so they are making more mistakes and Hounds are in tip top shape. Got 9 in 2 days of running.
