Yes thank you. 24% wind is much higher than I expected in Texas - but still a far cry from 42% cited by Rex Murphy.

And if we recall the original thread, and in part 73 what I've highlighted, or tried to. Was how it relates to fossil, and even pipelines. and the very first article.

    So to sum up.
Going green is not something we can just dive into, turn a switch, shut down fossil and pipelines, no matter how much as I said initially. The Green champions might want to.
So, based on the content in the article linked, you’d agree that numerous components of the Texas grid failed in the cold (fossil, green etc.)

I’m a big believer in nuclear for base load. More expensive upfront but better than what they’re into now.

    Of coarse.
No matter the topic, it's rarely ever just one thing. At the risk of going off topic is what is occurring in LTCs just Fords fault? I guess I could sum up my own stance as being one of Hindsight is 2020 ( pardon word play) and sunny days last forever. And as it relates to this, diving into green and a lack of foresight, which would include, planning for "stuff happens" that we will never be able to control or predict...In fact noone even knows today, how wind patterns might change. Would be a shame if all those wind farms....
    Nuclear. yep

Bit late to the conversation but on the telly they cited a big part of the problem was after 2011 when they wanted to sort their problems the urban democrats and rural republicans could not come to agreements on power policy.

Found this one story interesting and a short account away from politics https://www.cnn.com/2021/02/17/polit...rid/index.html
