He's sick alright. I would bet a lot of younger people have no idea how crooked Bill Gates was/is.

From day 1 he made money by lying and other people's money.... he sold DOS (pre windows for the uninformed) and then used the money to go buy a company that had a product he could use, he had no product when he sold it. Every improvement on their products was because someone else invented it first... I always got a laugh when people talked about Windows 95... it was a knock off of the Sun Sparc 2 from about 7 years earlier with bits of the Commodore Amiga OS and the MAC combined. He doesn't innovate but does steal from those that do and then using the money he gained from DOS etc. has used it to buy them or copy from them or make it impossible for them to sell their products.

For example they were found guilty of unfair monopolistic practices

"Most harmful of all is the message that Microsoft's actions have conveyed to every enterprise with the potential to innovate in the computer industry. Through its conduct toward Netscape, IBM, Compaq, Intel, and others, Microsoft has demonstrated that it will use its prodigious market power and immense profits to harm any firm that insists on pursuing initiatives that could intensify competition against one of Microsoft's core products. Microsoft's past success in hurting such companies and stifling innovation deters investment in technologies and businesses that exhibit the potential to threaten Microsoft. The ultimate result is that some innovations that would truly benefit consumers never occur for the sole reason that they do not coincide with Microsoft's self-interest."

He's crooked as all-get out and so was his company - I don't think there's any question about that.
    MS-DOS is a pirated CP/M.
    Windows was stolen IP.
    Excel was pirated 1-2-3 code.
Word was actually bought, not stolen. Likewise microsoft project.
Internet explorer is a netscape clone.

Many companies and careers ruined by Gates/Microsoft.

Yup, doesn't take a genius to predict future viruses. Been a constant in human history, why would it be any different going forward.

That reminds me of the Chinese business model.
