    Default Fly the flag

Inspired by other posts here is a picture of mine in a gentle breeze on this cold February morning.
I replace it twice a year and fly it proudly as well a couple of other neighbours who do the same.

I would rather fly the provincial flag over the Canadian Flag

We fly one, always proudly most of the year at the hunt camp, not up right now as we had a pole issue.

I fly one out front. Needs to be replaced 2 or 3 times a year. Half mast on Remembrance Day.

Never thought about it, but you just gave me a great idea. I'll see that we put one up at Hunt Camp this year. Thanks.

I see a lot of protesting down south where they are flying the American flag upside down. After seeing what happened, they're are not far off.

When it comes to having the American flag displayed upside down, according to section 8 of the U.S. Flag Code, 'Respect for flag' states the following: The flag should never be displayed with the union down, except as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property.

I've always flown the Canadian flag on every property I've ever lived at. Always thought if more people did, it would create a common bond between everyone. I put up a new flag every spring, replace when needed, and take it down in the fall, since the NW winds we get in winter make short work of even a new flag. I would rather see no flag than shredded remnants hanging on a pole, which I find disrespectful. Stores usually have them on sale for May 24 and July 1, so I buy a couple to keep as spares.

We have a Canadian flag in our front yard just inside the property line from the road. I always meant to put one up and my better half gave me the pole for Christmas about 17 years ago. Been there ever since. I have to admit I never think to lower to half mast on Remembrance Day.

Always had a flag up at previous resideces but took it down here about 5 years ago. My yard looks like a dump as it is, don't need one more thing to look after. I would be embarrassed flying a tattered up thing. I must also admit as of times of late its hard to admit to being Canadian.

How is it one careless cigarette can cause a forest fire, but it takes a whole box of matches to light a campfire?

Never be embarrassed of your country, but I can see why some might be of their leaders.
