Do you feel with all these lockdowns that you are now living in China?
That your rights are slowly being eroded?
Well, there is a huge influence at play here with Chrystia Freeland on the board of Governors of the Chinese world bank AIIB.
Now that the country is a couple of trillion in debt care to guess how it will play out?

"In order to preserve the Asian character of the institution and to ensure sufficient availability of financing for its regional Members, the Bank will specify in future Business Plans and observe a ceiling on its financing for operations in non-regional Members expressed as a three-year rolling share of volume of approved Bank financing in nonregional"

No I do not feel I am living in China, there are not hundred's of thousands of CT camera's with facial identification following my every move.

I can demonstrate freely if I choose to on the street's without fear of being imprisoned.

I can vote in free elections, that are not suppressed (unless the Conservatives try the old Robo call trick again)

Notice the goon squad are all wearing dark glasses? Prevents AI cameras from identifying them.

"Robo calls" only work on sheeple that have an IQ of one above a rock.

Are you otherwise OK with suppression of a vote in a democratic country?

    Canadaman,

There is a photograph of me in full uniform drawing back my stick after whacking a demonstrator at Queen's Park who was part of a mob that tried to burn down the building. I hit that demonstrator because he would not give up a baton he held that he had grabbed from another officer. This was when Mike Harris was premier .Basically every day I attended one demonstration after another in downtown Toronto, anti poverty demo's, seal hunt demo's, anti Palestinian, you name it I was there.

They all have the potential for violence and anarchy, but there are no innocents here. Sometimes the Police are the aggressors ie at the G8 summit in Toronto and sometimes its the demonstrators.

Problem is peaceful protests don't consist of destruction of property, intimidation, acts of crime, etc.
Sadly depending on who you are has all the difference whether you end up in jail or handed a silver spoon.
What even more appalling is watching these acts of violence and crime go unstopped by the law.

The incidents you are talking about are over centuries old land claims that should be sorted out, what is keeping the Government's of all stripes from finishing off the claims?

Gil: he’s talking about different rules for different protesters, and he’s correct. Let’s have a dozen white guys sit on the train tracks and kill the economy for a few weeks and see what happens.
