Has too much time on their hands
News Coverage: looking at Tse Chi Lop, a Canadian national, arrested in Amsterdam, $70 b drug cartel
Interesting to note the way the coverage is covered, I will just put links to some Canadian pages, some talk about the huge amount in human trafficking and drugs and weapons smuggled, mafia connections.(mostly international, Canada not so much).. but others like....
Global News... seems Consular services being contacted were the important conclusion....

CBC did a fair job, but like most failed to mention the huge amount of mafia connections in a long list of places around the world and yes including Canada.

Toronto Star actually covered it better and with more background...

Globe and Mail... possibly the best in Canadian coverage.

I got curious when I saw the differences and started look more as a reference, curiosity, there are lots of other coverages out there but it seems like most come off the AP and Reuters and have nothing more added even in many of the international presses. A few pointed out earlier arrests and that he found shelter in Canada (where I decided to see what the Canadian press said). It is both interesting and worrisome how some of the coverage is so identical on such a significant arrest.
