Is this guy for real ... HE says he admires China's dictatorship ... and then pokes fun at Harper for thinking he loves a dictatorship.

    What a moron.

I guess you missed the part where Harper complimented Communist China for lifting 400million out of poverty, I think he admires them, just a little more sneaky in the way he said it ,fortunately Canadians are pretty good with their BS detectors
and Harper was booted to the curb.

Harper had no problems signing trade deals with those communists https://www.thestar.com/opinion/comm...at-a-time.html

Yes God has plans for him and will be at his side along the way.

Harper was booted because after 3 terms, it was time for change. Not for any long list of scandals, or comments about dictatorships ( Which I don't recall).

Not sure what that has to do with free speech and whether or not there are or should be "limits". A friend shared this earlier today.

Pretty long list of people resigning following and citing events.

I think, if we think about history over the last 80years, and certain prominent people we can come up with a handful of people that maybe should have been muzzled. Like the Ayatollah, Hitler and some others. Saying that, does not mean a direct comparison is being made

"When Harper took office, he made clear that Canada would stand up for Canadian Values, and would not shy away from criticizing China when warranted.

“I think Canadians want us to promote our trade relations worldwide, and we do that, but I don’t think Canadians want us to sell out important Canadian values. They don’t want us to sell that out to the almighty dollar,” Harper said.

The Harper government repeatedly brought up the case of Huseyin Celil—a Canadian citizen who was imprisoned in China for advocating for the rights of the Uighur Muslim community. Celil is still imprisoned in China, and now up to a million Uighur Muslims are being held in concentration camps in the Communist State."

However we do have China attacking Harper recently for his travels.

    The Liberal's don't care:
    • about the two Michaels that have been over 2 years without trial
    • about 1,000,000 Uyghurs in reeducation camps
    • about recent reports of the huge number of women trafficked from North Korea
    • about them building islands/military bases in the South China sea
    • about threats to Taiwan
    • about bribery/weapons sales etc in Africa etc.
    • about crushing Democracy and breaking promises in Hong Kong

and I can go on and on.... but Liberals just don't care.

First on the list is the fault of Trump for wanting the CEO arrested, our guys were collateral damage. Every possible means have been used to get their release.

All the others on the list existed during Conservative governments, why did they not care?

Why did Harper make trade deals with Communists?

In case anyone missed it, there's a list that the Democrats are compiling of previous and current trump supporters to punish.
Wonder where that behaviour has happened before.

Hard to decide, the ones that come to mind are:
Would that be 9–10 November 1938 in Germany? or the Cultural Revolution in China? or Cambodia under Pol Pot? or Russia after the revolution?
