I call that freedom of choice - free of government regulation and draconian measures. So be it. Who are you to determine my personal risk issues. Please Sir - may I have another bowl of soup....

Yeah you can be 50 50 on the issue .

I have to keep covid off the property yet the only thing I have done is stop having big dinners with friends and families. Yet I have not wore a mask unless told otherwise . I go out all the time had thanks giving dinner out, went out on Halloween go to store all the time. Worked, have been to hundreds of houses with no mask on during the summer. My kids enjoyed the summer with their friends . Have been to 2 funeral since November (not covid related).

I guess if it's as bad as they say I should of gotten covid 19 already.

Life still goes on, you just need to use common sense .

I am not going out to party's nor are we just going visiting for no reason. Yes alot has changed but you can still move forward with common sense.

But hey keep staying home if you want .

    Keep up the good work

I will keep up what I am doing so far, one forum member thought I would be the first to spread it by going to Michael's lol. Guess maybe I might of been one of first back last December if I had it.

Why is it we are shutting down more serious issues than covid. 400 people out of 14 million are on ICU in Ontario. It's not my problem the government didn't prepare for a second wave .

They didn't care about about the preparation of the second wave to fit their agenda. Only one way to carry it out and they are doing a great job at it.

So far covid killed less than the regular flu would of and that's with them adding additional death's. Sad really .

If doctors , health care providers and our government is still going on vacation what does that tell you? They know they know the risk ,they also know more than the public . But hey they are still traveling what is they know that we don't know.

When our public health officials say they only say what they are told to say ?
Well guess what they should be saying what needs to be said is a medical prospective .
Not what they are told to say. They are the ones we should be listening to. But how can you?

And they have paid a price for their poor decisions. Lost positions, lost jobs, public criticism and limited future prospects. Well deserved in all cases.

    A few tone deaf ones.
The rest.............................................. .....................................Who really aren't sacrificing squat? Please

Interestingly, I shared an article on FB this morning which I'll copy here now. I prefaced my post with respect to a big chunk of society not paying any prices, and staying mum about stuff, notably some of the stuff in the article. But a few people that fly south? They lose their shyte over. Where's the perspective?

    One persons comment
They're mum so they're not targeted.
I don't know a single person calling for maintained lockdown who isn't supported by someone else in some capacity (bread-winning spouse, taxpayers thru CERB or protected public sector contracts, pensions, etc). And all those people don't want to have their support stripped in order to actually "be in this together".
    The article

I wonder, how of these goons who arguably have no empathy, no consideration for what things are doing to lowly masses they are stomping over. Have lost a single penny or night sleep?

It will eventually come out. His deceit will eventually leak out like a bad fart at a dinner party - sorry about the optics but it seemed fitting.

time will tell how things play out.

Just another aspect that is certain to play into things. While it's good on one hand, what about the people that are under water or barely holding on? Personally, I suspect we are going to start seeing more "incidents". And with respect to this article. Notice the 'tone". Hey, isnt it fantastic 75% are banking all kinds.

That money was paid because it as part of his employment agreement and the Board knew about his high-flying behavior. Dismissal with cause would probably not withstand a court challenge. IMO, the Board should have let him take it to court but hospital boards are notoriously weak.
