So it’s ok to invite people to commit acts of treason? Trump’s manipulations of Americans through social medieval and the media in general were directly responsible for what happened and he should be held accountable. You cannot be expected to have freedoms when you break the law. Even though he only has a few days left in office, his impeachment should continue so he can be held accountable. If he is impeached he is no longer entitled to the usual perks such as a salary, secret service protection, etc.

This is a huge attack on the american 1st amendment freedom of free speech, yes some will say Twitter can do what it wants, but when the lamestream news networks are compromised is was the only channel left to communicate on.
If they can silence the President then can silence anyone, you, me, etc...

They needed to arrest the criminals in June but will now spend huge amounts of effort to arrest a guy that walked in and took pictures... yeah, they broke the law... but hey, look at how violent they are, so much so the police just stood there and watched as they opened the door and let them in...

In the mean time, Twitter and Facebook are OK with tyrants, terrorists etc. Twitter is still up (as above) and I looked, the bookmarks of the advocates of genocide and violence still work, go look for yourself. The crack down by the haters of free speech see their opportunity and are going for it, it is just a start it seems.

The key here is Congress, this silencing of trumps outlets is not through congress. This is a guy using free platforms, for which he has agreed to a code of conduct and abiding by their rules, to express something that they do not want on their platforms. Is this censorship, yes, but it is through an online forum that is run by a company that decided what is being posted, not by the government.

There are other versions of social media that have grown recently that are outlets for right wing propaganda and they cannot be shut down by the government, they are also not run by an organization that does not want them there, so they remain.

I agree with your comments. Trump was banned from social media not by the government, but by the operators of the media platforms he uses. Not a secret that Twitter and Facebook are not Trump fans. I'm actually surprised he lasted this long before they pulled the plug on him.
