Just like harvest vs kill - semantics. I kill animals. Farmers harvest crops and when they send an animal to be butchered pretty sure that they don't say they are harvesting cows.
But according to the MNR...the kills are counted as a 'Harvest" in regards to the Deer Management Plan. The hunt is conducted to cull the herd.
That's why the MNR call it the Annual Harvest report...Not the Annual Kill report...semantics between the killer and the farmer. HaHa..

Harvest is a word that makes it more palatable to those on the fence I guess.
I might use "take", "got", or "shot" around sensitive company. "Harvest" sends instant images of crops to my mind, it doesn't fit with hunting IMO.
