Oh I think they know, just to lazy and possibly cheap, to do it correctly. You can buy those disposable ones in bulk, works out to about 15 cents each. People are to cheap to throw away that 15 cent mask. 'I can use it all week'.

As I said way back in the thread, masks are PPE. All PPE requires proper training for proper use. Improperly used PPE can and does result in injury and death.

Expecting the untrained masses to go forth with their masks and "protect each other" is an absolute joke.

True. But... I did not say, that they did know, I said, 'I think they know'. I guess they should start posting those video's on how to correctly wash your hands as well. You know the thing we are supposed to do a dozen times a day, minimum.

Just thought I would toss in here. My Sister Inlaw who is a nurse in Ottawa just received the Pfizer Vaccine first dose yesterday. Will see how she feels later today and when she gets the second dose.

Hopefully, someone comes up with a single dose vaccime. Having to do a second dose just doubled the workload at a time when it's least needed. The Moderna vax,I'm told, will be a single dose, but, will be a while before it's available.

I think I heard that the Moderna was also 2 shots but the storage issues are less.

Unfortunately the mRNA based vaccines requires two shots.....

The Moderna vaccine was effective in preventing Covid-19 cases in total and in limiting severe Covid-19 during the trial.
The vaccine's efficacy against Covid-19 was 94.1%, occurring at least 14 days after the second dose, according to a briefing document released by an advisory committee to the FDA.

Moderna's vaccine is administered as two 100-microgram doses given 28 days apart. Pfizer's vaccine is administered as two 30-microgram doses given 21 days apart.

    A little troubling:

Established in 2010, Moderna has never brought a product to market, or gotten any of its nine or so vaccine candidates approved for use by the FDA. It had also never brought a product to phase three of a clinical trial previously.
