    Default Vaccine data

I see nothing that’s worth stressing about. To me, the risk levels are a wash with Covid.

If you search Facebook or google Dr Nicole Baldin ( author) there’s even more, and slides.

Well friends, I did it - I made it through all 53 pages - and burned up my highlighter so this is just a brief summary (much of which we have already seen in the news):

Vaccine based on mRNA (messenger RNA) for the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. There is NO VIRUS in the vaccine and so you can’t contract COVID from the vaccine.

Vaccine components: PRESERVATIVE-FREE; mRNA encoding for the viral spike glycoprotein of SARS-CoV-2, lipids (see document for full list), potassium chloride, monobasic potassium phosphate, sodium chloride, dibasic sodium phosphate dihydrate and sucrose

Given in 2 doses, 30ug each, 21 days apart

Trials conducted in US, Argentina, Brazil, Germany, South Africa and Turkey

Study population (phase 2/3): 83.1% White, 9.1% African American, 4.3% Asian, <3% other racial groups; 20.8% Hispanic/Latino; 21.6% >65 years of age (median age 52 years)

Most common comorbidities : obesity (35.1%), diabetes (7.8%), chronic pulmonary disease (7.8%)

Vaccine efficacy after 2 doses - 95%; duration of efficacy currently 2 months after 2nd dose (likely longer but that is still under investigation)

Cumulative incidence of COVID-19 in vaccine group and placebo group was similar until approx 14 days after Dose 1 (see graph).

Most common reactions: injection site reactions (84.1%), fatigue (63.9%), headache (55.1%), muscle pain (38.3%), joint pain (23.6%), fever (14.2%)

Frequency of SERIOUS adverse reactions was LOW (<0.5%) and occurred equally in both groups.

People DID die in the study (because people die). 6 total deaths - 2 in vaccine group, 4 in placebo group. 5 out of 6 were >55 years of age. No deaths were attributed to the vaccine.

Safety monitoring will continue both in the study as well as in the general population if approved under EUA.

I hope this helps give you some insight. If you want a deeper dive into my opinions about this vaccine, check out my most recent Masks Off Live conversation with @kckidsdoc

See comments for a few of MY unanswered questions. What questions do you have?

Edited to add link to actual document: https://www.fda.gov/media/144245/download

EDITED TO ADD: I made a mistake on slide #6 - the case of ventricular arrhythmia WAS NOT thought to be related to the vaccine. THAT IS MY MISTAKE - I HAVE CORRECTED THE SLIDE AND WILL POST IN THE COMMENTS BUT I CAN'T CHANGE THE PHOTOS IN THE MAIN POST

    Data Missing: Long term effects

... and would you look at that, a whole 2 months of immunity! (But "likely" longer).

Still a hard no for me.
