Yes in some states but others are slowly becoming less.
If I'm not mistaken there was a few put down a few months back or last month.??
Maybe with a 3 strike rule have a decision in the court room to see if it worth a strike?? Arm robbery a strike it would have to be categorized into sections. And for the little stuff every offence has a worse punishment same 3 strike. You get a mandatory min of a small amount. That way it will slow down the smaller crimes. At a certain level of crime it is an automatic strike. Having a gun owned illegally that's a strike. Many are caught more than once with a gun. That's 2 strike get a 3rd and do 25 yrs ??
People now adays or not doing a long time for being in posession of controlled substance and a firearm together. Maybe make a automatic min for the 2 together. Many victims are shot over the drugs .

People are doing more time for selling fentanyl than the murderers shooting up everyone. Time to ban the fentanyl oh but they just keep making it stonger. It's medical so it must be needed.

Has too much time on their hands
Knew there was a thread on our broken legal system, decided to just add on.... still broken!
Canada’s terrorism offenders are coming out of prison still radicalized
https://globalnews.ca/news/6574722/t...ograms-parole/
and just in the last few days...
Toronto 18 leader, given day parole....
https://globalnews.ca/news/7509245/t...ranted-parole/
A key member of a terrorist group that plotted truck bombings in downtown Toronto in 2006 was granted day parole on Tuesday, even though a corrections official opposed his release as “premature.”

OK, we see Trudeau with convicted terrorists like Khadr and Jaspal Atwal, (convicted in a 1986 terrorist shooting) and Boyle and saying the returning ISIL terrorists can contribute to Canada ... yet attacking vets openly and the courts spending millions to fight veteran court cases.
