I do support some of his policies that have led the US to a stronger economy, but then as a business man, instead of a part time drama teacher, he has more experience in how to that.

My point is, there is a lot of evidence of the state breaking the law (and particularly on invasion of privacy) to "help" their objectives.
I have two issues with that ... the message sent is loud and clear ... it's okay for the government and police to break the law, you just have to have a good reason ... wow, so how about us civilians use that as a reason ... like I had to steal because my kids were going to die of starvation!

Second is ... actually, I'm convinced government doesn't really give a crap about our rights, and the constitution ... they trample all over it every day ... because there are corrupt, selfish elements (and I think it's growing, not getting better) that want to serve their own selfish purpose ... so I trust no one ... data can be used against us ... you know that! Easy to take things out of context ... father says something to his kids out of anger (and possibly rightly so ... think drugs, stealing, danger ... ) ... next thing Children's aid is showing up! Or corrupt government/cops out to get someone ... and screw innocent people ...

Yes, our invasion of privacy is happening, and it is a big problem. So, I am confused by your earlier post ... can you verify if that article is true? If so, I'm not sure ... are you saying invasion of privacy isn't happening, or we shouldn't really care the the government and police infringe on our rights ILLEGALLY every day??

I would much rather have a leader that is abrasive and a bully on the world stage but makes the right decisions for his people rather than a guy that does what is best for him and puts on a façade for the world stage yet he screws his people over and over again.

Different times my friend,when immigrants came in your fathers time the whole economy was different.Employers were a little more kind hearted ,now its a cut throat world. I have no problems with my taxes going to help refugees and new immigrants to Canada, and so apparently do another 2/3 of the Canadian population.That is why we have back to back Liberal Government's supported by the NDP,I guess you need to get used to it.Are we to turn away Syrian refugees at the border because our current
employment base cannot accommodate them. Should we send them back to Syria where Assad will murder them.

I'm not sure where you are going with this post ... it's not about turning immigrants away at all ... in fact I said we need them ... my point is GOVERNMENT sponsored vs. PRIVATE sponsored immigrants ... you're okay with the dismal integration of government sponsored refugees into our society?? I don't have a pension, only the money I save in my account. Do you have a pension? So of that big money I save I need to put away approx 1 million at minimum.
My house is part of my retirement which Trudeau has indicated he wants to tax me on it so that I cannot retire.
I am sure you will agree if he taxes my retirement we should add a new tax to pensions.
