COVID fun
Lets share some stories about what is happening around us ,with COVID turning our life upside down.
Sad, upsetting,to laugh about or without common sense.
Relax and enjoy while reading-not to judge or take sides!
Went to a store yesterday. Big box. Went to buy stuff i did not believe they have .Took no cart ,no grocery bag, just walk in.(my wife thought they may have the stuff.....)
Parked my car close to entrance. Raining and cold.
Access is split-entry and exit. In and out. In thru the close door to my car-Out thru the far away door.
I go in-and guess what ,they have my (my wife's)stuff!
I buy 3 big boxes, barely can hang onto them and carry them. Hate to return ,to pick up a shopping cart. So i will just tough it out.
Halfway i realize-this was more then i can handle safely(hate to drop my mechandise and spill it all over)So-i decide (hands full)to take a cart.
I go to where the carts suppose to be(inside-just alongside the entry area)-no carts!See two store clerk policing the entry and doing nothing else(shooting a breeze so to say)...........Carts are all way outside, close to where i am parked.
-Sir,you can not go out that way.
-I just need a cart.My hands are full.
-Put your stuff on that table beside you,go out and bring a cart.
-I have to make all that big circle?-to go out thru the designated exit-then bring the cart-then pick up my stuff and go around again?Me asking.Raining and cold.
-No!
-You just go out, pick the cart, come back , take your stuff thru the designated exit.
NOW-you need to know, that IF i go out to grab a cart,I am 100% outside, walking in the face of potential customers entering the building, and 10 meters from my car.
All the logic of separating ppl at access points it not important -IF i go to grab a cart? But if i am to leave the building that way-i CAN NOT,due of the safety of others(COVID)
So i grabbed my 3 boxes, hoped for the best, and went my merry way thru the designated exit.
Sure was not a happy camper .
Have not seen such a lack of common sense approach in a while.......i do realize they wanted to compromise (maybe)but what the heck happens then to the safety protocol?

Don't know how many times I've had to walk back to the truck and get my mask. Have a hell of a time keeping track of my wallet, keys, phone and now add mask and sanitizer to the mix! I want the old norm back
